CLAPICONIA is an interactive sound and light installation commissioned by Destination NSW for VIVID Sydney 2014. CLAPICONIA loves to perform, enticing people off George Street in The Rocks into the Suez Canal. Clap for it, and its stylised flower pods become illuminated castanets that snap open and shut to each stem’s individual rhythm.

An interactive sound and light installation commissioned by Destination NSW for VIVID Light 2013. DIGITALIS is conceived as a genetically modified breed of the toxic plant Digitalis Purpurea, and fuses unrelated objects to create a new, modified hybrid. With crumpled plastic cups for flower bells and glowing LEDs for stamen, this franken-plant responds to ‘threats’ on its territory by rattling and glowing brighter.

DESIGN-A-CUP CONCEPT - DUNE CUP

A 3-fruit polished stainless steel platter that doubles as temporary receptacle for compostable fruit scraps. The form of this fruit platter derives from indentations caused by three fruit pieces falling on an originally flat, polished stainless steel surface.
